Is this device plug and play?
After setup, yes; Windows will instantly recognise the device when plugged in, you will need a free software called SimHub running in the background to send live game data. Don't worry - the setup is incredibly simple and you can watch a video tutorial or contact me for any assistance.
Does it work with rally games like EA Sports WRC or DiRT Rally?
Yes. It runs off SimHub, which supports the major rally titles including EA Sports WRC, DiRT Rally 2.0 and Richard Burns Rally. Rally is where it really shines: with a sequential gearbox and blind stages, a physical, glanceable gear readout and shift lights are exactly what you want instead of glancing down at a screen mid-stage.
Does this device come with mounting hardware?
Desk mounts, yes - two angled ones are in the box, 35° and 45°. Which you want depends on how far below eye level the unit sits: the 35° is the flatter of the two and suits a dashboard up on a monitor shelf, the 45° tips it further back towards you for a unit sitting down on the desk itself. Wheelbase hardware, no - the unit has the two ReMount bolt holes underneath, but the legs and the bolts that go into the base are a separate £10 set. That is the difference between this and the Gear Indicator Shift Lights Pro, which arrives with the mount fitted.
Does it come with a USB-C cable?
No, a USB-C cable is not included in the box. Please use a USB-C data transfer cable - a regular charging cable will not work.
